Does Sildenafil Make You Bigger?

The short answer is yes and no. It might appear to because you will get erect for a time, usually for 2-3 hours, then the effects dissipate but no it doesn’t, because you are still limited by your actual penis size. The long answer – which includes the benefits, risks, and how to use it – is the following:

Sildenafil

First off, what is Sildenafil? Everyone is familiar with Sildenafil actually though you may know it by another name. Sildenafil is an active ingredient popularized as Viagra. It is an anti erectile dysfunction medication. Worldwide it is used to make sure that men get their erections for when they want to have sex but can’t get their penises to go erect.

Viagra functions by relaxing your blood vessels, essentially widening them to allow more blood to flow, which means, you can get an erection, but getting hard is another story. The common misconception here is that Viagra will make you hard. No, it doesn’t. It gives you the possibility to get hard. Without sexual stimulation, your penis will be limp as usual except you have better blood flow.

To take Viagra, you only have to swallow their blue oval pills at least a half an hour before intercourse. It is important of course, that you only take 1 pill a day or risk a Viagra overdose. The following are the symptoms that you have to look out for: Vomiting, diarrhea, blurred and distorted vision, and priapism. If you have had more than the prescribed dosage, contact your doctor immediately.

Side Effects

Like all pharmaceutical products, Viagra has its fair share of side effects. So if you experience these when you take Viagra, know that it’s completely normal. You may feel headaches, nasal congestion, impaired vision, sensitivity to light, and indigestion. It is a small price to pay for satisfying your partner.

Now onto the more serious things. There are other potential side effects, though these are rare if you want to know more just to be aware of the risks, here they are. Viagra can, although as said above very rarely, cause priapism, a condition where the erection becomes painful and longer-lasting. It can also cause heart attacks and sudden hearing loss. It is unknown why it causes hearing loss. These can all be found in Viagra’s labels. 

Other Reminders

On a lighter note, aside from erectile dysfunction, Viagra can also be taken to help with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, albeit with another name to lessen confusion. Sildenafil is taken to help PAH are named Revatio and are different in dosage to Viagra. People should take care not to confuse the 2 or drink 1 while also under the effects of the other or risk overdose. Fun fact, it is actually during a drug trial for hypertension that Viagra came to be.
